2011: BS Degree in Biological Sciences, University of Ferrara.

Thesis: "Terminal axonal Ca2+ dinamics in olfactory sensory neurons: an imaging study".

2013: MS Degree in Neuroscience, University of Trieste. Thesis: " Follow-up of the SQSTM1 gene and new candidate variants from  Whole-Exome Sequencing in Frontotemporal Lobar Degeneration ".


CAREER/EMPLOYMENT

nov 2015-present: PhD student in Biomedical and  Biotechnological Sciences, Department of  Life Sciences and Biotechnology, Section of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Ferrara.

 

RESEARCH EXPERIENCES

2013 Student Internship: 9 months Erasmus Placement at VIB, Department of Molecular Genetics, University of Antwerp.

2014 Initial PhD research experience: 7 months at VIB, Department of Molecular Genetics, University of Antwerp – University funding for the project “Discovery of new genes involved in Early Onset Dementia”.

2016 Visiting PhD student: 4 months at CARIM School for cardiovascular disease, Department of Biochemistry, University of Maastricht – “Giovani Ricercatori” Funding for  the project "Molecular mechanisms in Vascular Disorders”.

(Planned) 2017 Visiting PhD student: 3 months at BNAC Buffalo Neuroimaging Analysis Center, School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, State University of New York at Buffalo – IUSS funding for the project “Hemostasis components in Multiple Sclerosis”.
