RESEARCH EXPERIENCES
May 1st - September 30th 2012: Internship at the “Biomorphology and Neurobiology Laboratory” at the Department of Biomedical Sciences for Health – Milan. Aim of the project: evaluate the expression of Toll-Like Receptor 3, 4 and 7 in the adult mouse eye.
February 15th – May 31st 2013: Trainee at “CRC”, Clinical Research Center, Cellular Autoimmunity Unit, Malmö, Sweden. Main task: validate a PCR-based approach to determine a deletion in the Leptin gene in a mouse model for type 1 diabetes (NOD.ob/ob mice).
April 7th 2014 – September 19th 2014: Internship at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN) – King’s College London – London. Aim of the project: investigate the effect of the G4C2 RNA repeat expansion on TBPH expression in a Drosophila model of C9orf72-related ALS/FTD.
March 2015 – December 2015: Fellowship at “Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele”, Milan. Project title: Parkinson’s disease at the synaptic site: short and long term impact of pathological LRRK2 kinase activity.
